HALF OF A YELLOW SUN:

Sisters Olanna and Kainene return home to 1960s Nigeria, where they soon diverge on different paths. As civil war breaks out, political events loom larger than their differences as they join the fight to establish an independent republic. The film in all ramification has met the standard of digital  film-making a find has proved that Africa is still on the verge of competing with international standard of film-making.
Basically thrillers are meant to allow you have a fill of what you are about seeing. It is seldom said that when a good thriller is seen, it sure means the film will be a success. That seems quite believable but in most cases it is not always like that. However, i guess you will be waiting to hear my personal opinion about the film HALF OF A YELLOW SUN and i will say the film is a master piece. A world re-known African film. The pace and the temple of the movie, depicted the time when the story was placed. The camera works was quite excellent and obeyed basically all the rules that can be acclaimed to film making. The camera movement obeyed the rule of movement in the five C's of cinematography. The grading was quite exceptional because it came so unique that it portrayed the time in which the film was set. The special effect was quite encouraging and the sound, gave the film that wow touch. As for the story, i wont comment so much about it because you and i know that Half of a yellow sun tells the story of the famous Biafran War led by Late Odimegwu Emeka Ojukwu. I am sure those affected, haven seen this film my spark up some sort of hatred in their heart but then that might not be necessary in-case you are habouring such thought. The film rather opened our eyes to the call of history. I remember my father telling me  his own version of the story. From the saying that goes, "every good film starts from the story". In order words, words, the story was quite captivating. All of these is based on the deduction i got from the Trailer. haven looked at the trailer critically, i certify that the film will be a big one to see. Like i said, the fact that the trailer is mouth watering doesn't make it a must see. But then, i assure that you must enjoy every bit of the film. As directed by Biyi Bandele, Written by Chimamda Ngozi Adichie (Novel),  and screen played by biyi Bandele. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose, Genevieve Nnaji.

I must recommend that this novel be recommended for educational purposes and the films as well be used as a guide to explaining the Novel. Basically the film explains the ill fated experience of the masses during the Biafran War and how it destroyed lives and property instead of building. Take out time to see this film. Bellow is the Official trailer. watch.
